Therapies

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is a profession of choice to treat movement disorders and pain. Physical Therapists receive specialized training in many sciences such as human anatomy, kinesiology (the science of human movement), and physics, just to name a few. A physical therapist will use “hands on” techniques such as therapeutic exercise, functional training, as well as modalities (such as ultra sound, electrical stimulation and laser) to treat symptoms and address the source of dysfunction. Physical Therapists treat people of all ages, from “weekend warriors” to elite athletes, from children to mature adults.

Speech Therapy

The ability to communicate is one of the most important gifts we possess as human beings. Any impairment in this area can affect all aspects of our lives, first to work, to home life, to play. Speech Language Pathologists evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders. Our highly skilled staff has experience with pediatrics as well as adults young and old, for both communication and swallowing disorders. In the summer months we offer a pediatric program designed to complement your child’s school based program.
