YOUR FIRST VISIT:
Thank
you for choosing UOST as your therapy provider. Your first visit will start with your therapist reviewing
your medical history and your current condition.
Then your therapist will perform an in-depth physical examination to
identify the musculoskeletal dysfunctions causing your symptoms.
After educating you about these findings your therapist will perform
treatment techniques, which may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise
instruction, traditional modalities, and posture/body mechanics education.
Please
be sure to bring with you:
*physician’s
prescription for therapy
*your
insurance card
*comfortable clothing which allows
exposure to the body part(s)
to be evaluated.
YOUR TREATMENT SESSIONS:
Follow up sessions
will consist of a treatment program specifically designed to address your
musculoskeletal dysfunction and attain your goals. Treatment may consist of:

Traditional Modalities ( ie. moist heat, electrical stimulation,
ultrasound,
iontophoresis, & paraffin)
-
Manual Therapy (soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release,
strain/counter strain, manual traction)
-
Therapeutic Exercise
-
Posture/Body Mechanics Education
-
Splinting for wrist & hand pathologies
